Today's Saga From Dunkwa

Hello Everyone:

This is Ghana!  Wow, this week has brought some major changes and big differences to my area. Transfers have come and gone and I am still in Dunkwa! That means I will get seven and a half months here at minimum. Now, I love Dunkwa but being here as long as I have is somewhat tough. I am now the missionary who has been here the longest out of all present and may become the missionary who spends the most time in Dunkwa ever! It is all up to God's timing and what he knows I need to do.

I don't have much to say this week, I just want you all to remember that we are all children of God. Remember how much he loves you and decide now never to forget that. I have come to know how little I have actually known about God's love for all of us. If you are looking for anything to make studying the scriptures a little bit more entertaining, I want you to read about God's love for his children, and then I want you to try and find expressions of His love in your everyday life. This has been helping me to understand that we never really stand alone even when we have been asked to give all we have. You are never alone! Just keep in mind that when you are following what you have been asked to do (when you are keeping the commandments and following the covenant path), you will have an army behind you to face all the challenges in life. Do not forget to ask for help, hands are stretched out to you at every moment. All it takes is your willingness to reach out to them.

Now for things about Ghana (Dunkwa): it has stayed unbearably hot but that's okay because water is still being drunk everyday (more then I have ever taken in before, but just barely enough for here). I have been having a lot of fun trying to push the importance of the Book of Mormon (It really is what backs up our Church but if people never read then they can never come to that knowledge - we struggle here getting people to actually dive in and read, they just like to listen to our stories). I have also enjoyed teaching about God's love and knowledge of all his children because so few people truly understand what that means.

Love you all; talk soon.  If you get a minute, write to me and tell me what is going on in your lives. Email time is precious to me!

*No bats in the laundry this week and only one mouse under the bed.  Maybe they are starting to get scared of our apartment and our machetes!
