Working Hard

Hello Everyone. SO this week I want to testify that God Tests his children. It is not always an obvious test, He usually doesn't pull an Abraham and Issac scenario but He does things like unto it. These tests mean a lot to each and everyone of us. We have to understand that God only uses the people that He knows are ready for the job and at times He has to make sure that we will endure the test even if just to prove our abilities to ourselves, His servents. God knows all, but sometimes He wants us to see just how much we are willing to sacrifice for Him. He knows our hearts but He wants us to understand them as well.

Tests come in all shapes and sizes but they are there and will always need one answer or another. Sacrificing is difficult and is designed to be so: from tithing, to scripture study and everything in between including all the big stuff, it is all a sacrifice, but if we show God that we cannot sacrifice even a small amount of our time to Him everyday to read a verse or two from a book that the world itself was and is divided over, then how can we say we are ready to give ourselves to God. I am not trying to fire darts at anyone, but I am trying to say that we can all get better at the little sacrifices. We all have more to give, do not hold anything back or when you look back from the pearly gates you will only regret not doing more.

I do not want any of us to face God and hear Him say that we left one of His children by the wayside, or that we had things we held back from Him. I want Him to hold each of us in His arms and congratulate us and tell us "everything will be alright now, you gave it all to me so now I can give it all back again".

I love you all so much. Keep being amazing and keep praying for me.  Telecom 2 is proving to be a challenge for me like none other.   I will keep trying and I would appreciate your prayers.  I am grateful for the tender mercies I received this week with inspiration during my baptismal interviews for some prospective members.  Those were my first ones and I was nervous. Heavenly Father took care of everything.  Of course He did!

Love, Elder Edison
