Always Seeking For Power

Hello Everyone. I am so sorry today the message is going to be very small because internet is so bad here. I wish I could say more. I miss you all and cannot wait to tell you all about my experiences in person so we do not have to worry about the internet being cut or a bad connection.  Not having power that is reliable is a real trial here. So much of what we normally do (before my mission) was related to taking power for granted.  Now, I never take power for granted and think about it every single day. We schedule meetings around when power is most reliable and we try to do as much as possible without being dependent on electricity.

This week haas been unique. We have been working hard and will continue to do so. We may even be able to baptize a man whom my last compaion and I started teaching. He is very powerful and it would be amazing to see him become a member. He has a great connection to the Church. It is just that teaching is somehow difficult because he is always traveling. No matter what, he is a child of God so even if it is not this week, hopefully it will be the next.

MANY MINUTES PASS WITHOUT POWER AND THEN:

Ha I have more time then I thought. Thank you to my mother for teaching me how to type fast even if it is not accurate at all. Compared to most people here, I am a speed demon and just absolutely insane with the way I type. I Feel bad for the other guys, at times.

I miss you all so much.

So more on this past week:  I had to hold another exchange and had to handle all that paper work and try to do a lot of training to ensure that the mission is unified in all the efforts that we are told to put forth from our mission president who is speaking on behalf of God. There is a  lot of work to do. I am getting better at getting the paperwork finished and I hope my teaching is improving as well. No one fell asleep so that is a good thing.

The man that I was talking about earlier, is a man named Victor. He began receiving the lessons with me and Elder Mortimer. But then we had to send him a referral to other missionaries. But then after a few weeks he was sent back to us because he kept coming to our ward instead of the one he was supposed to be in. So now my companion and I are finishing his teachings and will hopefully get him baptized. Lots of work but it will work out.

Okay well Talk soon. Keep being awesome!

Love, Elder Edison
