Mission Tour - Elder Nash!

MIssion tour was amazing. We got to meet Elder Nash and were able to greet him individually! It was so powerful to hear him speak and really motivate us to become better. Many times in his instruction to the missionaries he talked about how we need to be teaching with more power. Now this is something that i have been trying to do for a long time. Far too often I found myself saying the same things consistantly and never really being able to really feel the power  in the words i said. I often truied to change this but it never seemed to work. After the mission tour I decided enough was enough, I would no longer try, I would do. Just as a wiose man once said "Do or do not there is no try". I just startted speaking and told myself i was going to be different and really open their minds. To my astonishment, it worked, i just talked and the words were powerful and different for each person. It now is a lot mnore fun to teach becasue i have no idea what will heppen. Elder Nash put it this way "I know where i want the conversation to end but i let the Spirit lead it there" (Not an exact quote sorry) I Am so happy that I now have a chance to really teach peope not just lessons. 

Following what our leaders say really does bless us. I have seen un-serious people realize the importance of our message faster and with more efficiency. I have watched people as they have come to the knowledge of the Restoration and I know that when they see uit they are no longer hearing the words i am speaking but feeling the Spirit speaking through my compaion and I.

Following leaders is what will help us understand our duty and role on the path back to the Saviour. As we listen intently to their words and allow nothing to hinder our obedience to them that is when we can recieve great blessings from God. 

“22 And behold, all that he requires of you is to keep his commandments; and he has promised you that if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth vary from that which he hath said; therefore, if ye do keep his commandments he doth bless you and prosper you.

23 And now, in the first place, he hath created you, and granted unto you your lives, for which ye are indebted unto him.

24 And secondly, he doth require that ye should do as he hath commanded you; for which if ye do, he doth immediately bless you; and therefore he hath paid you. And ye are still indebted unto him, and are, and will be, forever and ever; therefore, of what have ye to boast?”

Now the words that are spoken to us by God chosen servants are the same as his own spoken word. These are all commandments that we have to follow, but as we do that is when we get the great promise that the Lord will prosper us in the land. Saty storng to what leaderers tell us evben when you have no idea how to follow. Try your best, open your mouth, minister aned you will be blessed with the assurance that Youy can do what is needed. Guidence from God has not stopped in our day, if it had then none of us could expect to get rto Heaven. The WOrld is changing and God (though he does not change) Has to clarify his stance on the ever changing aspects in our lives. Look to your leaders, Follow the |Saviour and be saved.
